Smartfren Starts Building Data Center in 2022

President Director of Smartfren Telecom Merza Fachys said the company would build a data center in 2022.

The project is a collaboration between the company and a company from Dubai. "We are currently following up on the data center development from yesterday's agreement. We are currently making a complete and comprehensive plan so that it can be implemented immediately," he said on Tuesday (28/12/2021). Previously, Sinar Mas collaborated with a company from Dubai to build the largest data center in Indonesia and develop a Smart city. The two projects collaborate with companies from Abu Dhabi that are engaged in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Computing sectors, namely Group 42 (G42). The project executor is the Smartfren business unit and Sinar Mas Land has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
