Smartfren Opens Up About News of the FUND Acquisition from Emtek

PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk. (FREN) acknowledged that there were collaborative activities with the DANA digital wallet. However, there are no acquisition plans yet.

Director of Smartfren Telecom Anthony Susilo denied the news regarding the planned acquisition of the DANA digital wallet from the ownership of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk. (EMTK). "The company has no plans to take over shares/acquire DANA. The company will always comply with and comply with the applicable laws and regulations," he explained, Wednesday (26/1/2022). The issuer with the code FREN claims to always comply with the provisions and regulations in the capital market sector related to plans or corporate actions to take over shares or participation by companies in other companies. FREN, he explained, collaborates with local and global service providers to support the Beyond Telco strategy. FREN focuses its existing resources on core business activities and seeks collaboration opportunities with companies that are experts in their fields. "Regarding the collaboration with DANA, the company has made a strategic partnership with DANA. With this collaboration, the DANA application will be directly connected to the mySF application, making it easier for users to transact or buy Smartfren products," he said.
