The Surabaya Regional House of Representatives Recommends that Sinar Mas Land Permit Applications Be Discontinued
Complaints from residents of the Bukit Mas Tourism housing 1 and 2 have a long tail. The reason is that the council encourages the Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) to stop and postpone all licensing applications submitted by PT. Sinar Mas Land is in accordance with Perwali Number 14 of 2016.
"I ask the city government to stop all requests for permits from the Bukit Mas Tourism developer," said Chair of Commission A of the Surabaya DPRD Pertiwi Ayu Krishna during a hearing with residents, representatives of PT Sinar Mas Land and regional apparatus organizations ( OPD) related on the 3rd floor of the council building, this Golkar Party politician said that the big developer in Surabaya is not only PT. Sinar Mas Land, but not "naughty" like Sinar Mas Land. Other developers want to obey the rules that apply in the City of Heroes. "It's not allowed to install wifi, developers want residents to pay IPL (environmental management fees) first, even though this is a covid pandemic, school children from home need internet," he said. According to him, PT Sinar Mas Land as a developer has not handed over public facilities (fasum) and social facilities (fasos) to the City Government. In fact, the relevant agencies have already sent letters asking for public and social facilities to be handed over. "Therefore, it is necessary for the city government to issue a warning letter to Sinar Mas so that public and social facilities are immediately handed over," he said. Ayu asked PT. Sinar Mas Land to stop IPL levies which always go up without any notification to residents. In addition, his party also asked the developer to submit a report on the use of IPL for an independent audit by the residents of the Wisata Bukit Mas housing estate.
